I have a Hybrid, and when I am on engine, this gauge shows around 7/8. When it goes on EV, the gauge maxes out, causing fuel economy to be misrepresented.
Anyone know why it maxes out on EV?

Bar fills all the way when on EV and RPM are 0.
In my Blue, the indicator is max when in EV mode. This is expected, as the gas motor is not running.

Why would it max out in EV mode? It shoots all the way up to 24, causing my fuel economy to increase.
@Charlotte
Sorry, didn’t realize your L/100km — you’re right, it should go to 0. I’m MPG, so it goes to max.
@Charlotte
Is yours set to MPG or KM/L or L/100KM? It will go up for the first two and go down for the last one.
Also, there’s a delay when you put the gas pedal; it takes some time to go up and show it’s going up even after you have taken your feet off the pedal. I’m sure yours doesn’t stay at max all the time on EV, does it? It’s perhaps the first few seconds.
@Mickey
This right here. I have mine set to km/L, and it shoots to the right when I’m in EV mode. Makes sense I’m getting unlimited KMS per litre because I’m not using any gas.
Doesn’t affect my mileage at all.
@Charlotte
Because your fuel economy IS increasing. Every mile your car does in EV is a mile saved in gas… thus, a tank of gas lasts longer, and you can drive further. Many manufacturers mark it as MPGe (equivalent).
That’s not the fuel gauge; it’s the mileage stats bar. The gauge is on the left circle, which cannot be seen in the photo as your left signal is on.
Beneath the left circle will be an estimate of your remaining travel distance, gas, and battery combined.
When you are running in EV mode, you are not consuming fuel, so the bar for km/l goes to infinite because you are not consuming any fuel.
When you consume fuel again, it drops to the level of km/l you will be getting (or whatever metric is being used; I’m used to MPG).
The numerical reading is the average since (depending on what setting you set it to in the console) either refueling or the trip.
The bar is just a flashy random thing really; it doesn’t give any meaningful information.
Like, the bar fills all the way?
If so, perhaps take it in to be checked? I have a 2024, and when it switches to EV, the bar ‘empties’, if that makes sense.
Try the other cluster view modes; I think you’ll see what you are looking for in the other display.
It should max out since you are getting mileage without using gas…

Thanks everyone… that makes sense that it is km/l not l/100km.
