Does anyone know how to get rid of the low pressure light?

I was driving when I suddenly got the low tire pressure warning so I stopped at a parking lot and put some air in my tire. After doing that and driving for a while… the light is still there even though my pressure isn’t low anymore. Can someone help me with this? Do I need to get my tire changed? This is my first car so I don’t really know a lot about cars :confused: it’s a 2017 Hyundai Elantra.

I mean your tires aren’t going to have a recommended fill of 30psi. So yes, put air in the tires, 3 of them are low.

A small black piece of electrical tape cut to the exact size of the tire symbol should do it.

Holy fuck you’re onto something.

First RTFM

Second, someone asked this exact question a few days ago

Third, same answer, check your driver side door jamb for the correct inflation pressure. I bet it’s not 32psi.

Fill up above 35 to get rid of the light then slowly release air to preference.

Thank you.

Elantra recommended tire pressure is 33psi. If your light went on, you were at least 8.5 psi below recommended tire pressure. You need to add more air to your tires. If you have already been driving for a while, add up to 35psi. When your tires cool, they should settle at 33 psi. If not, you can then bleed the extra air out of the tires to meet the recommended setting.

You’ll also notice that keeping your tires with the recommended pressure will slow down the amount of gas you are using in your car. I know you mentioned this is your first car, so just giving some tips. Also, your tires will last longer when inflated properly.

@Patrick
Thanks a lot :pray:.

Pump the tires to around 36 psi and then drive for a mile or so until the sensors re-read the pressure.
