Does the 2024 Santa Fe come with an NFC “Hyundai Card” for Digital Key2?

Hey folks, quick question about the 2024 Santa Fe. I’m going through the manual and the quick reference guide, and I noticed a mention of something called a “Hyundai Card”—it’s described as a physical, credit card-like NFC card that works with Digital Key2. Does anyone know if this card is supposed to come with the vehicle? My dealer only handed me the two regular keys, so I’m not sure if I’m missing something. Anyone else get this card with their Santa Fe?

I got the digital key on both my iPhone and Apple Watch. Tried using it for the first time today with my watch, but it wouldn’t work. My physical key was inside my work building, but I ran out to move my car during lunch. It wouldn’t unlock even though the key showed up on my watch. No clue what the issue is. I held my watch next to the door handle—anyone know what I’m doing wrong?

You can easily buy the physical NFC keycards online if you want. They’re about $60 for the 2024 Santa Fe.

Mine didn’t come with a car, but I bought one for $60 as a backup in case my phone messes up. I really hate the key fob, so I won’t carry it…

I couldn’t agree more about the key fob—it’s the worst part of the car, lol. CateYN, Where did you get your card from?

They just added the digital key to our Apple Wallet. You just hold the phone near the car, and it unlocks…

Well said! Only the top trim of the Kia Telluride comes with the NFC card in the owner’s manual. You have to pay extra for them in the top trims of the Santa Fe and Palisade for the 2024 model year. It’s the same with the Kia EV9; you have to buy that NFC card too. Most Hyundai dealers near me want $45 plus tax for it.
