I’m 27, clean record, and I’m paying $1,040 for six months with Farmers for my 2023 Hyundai Elantra Hybrid Limited. I shopped around and kept getting quoted $1,700. I feel like I’m getting the best deal, even though it’s still crazy expensive.
@FAITH
That’s awful.
@FAITH
Which state are you in?
Might be time to sell your Hyundai.
Nationwide increased rates by about 19% across the board. Have you had any tickets or points on your license recently?

Nope, perfect record.

My rate jumped from $750 to $1,540 for six months.
@Miles
That’s brutal. I have a 2021 Tucson, and I’m paying $2,400 a year.

I just sold the car and got something else.
I’m over 65 and have a 2019 Tucson AWD. My rate with Nationwide just went up to $1,005 for six months, and that’s with my homeowners bundled. My car has less than 12K miles on it, and it could still sell for over $20K. Thinking about getting rid of it while the resale value is still high.
@Victor0
Mine is $1,513 for six months with two cars bundled. If you can sell without a loss, it might be worth considering.
I have a Hyundai, my partner has a Honda. Our insurance only went up by $7 a month. We were expecting a huge increase but didn’t see one.
