I posted awhile back about our high mileage 2010 Hyundai Tucson and said I’d give updates now and then. Rolled over 370,000 miles this week. I think it will make it to 400,000 someday.
Original drivetrain, original engine, original transmission. No major issues, lots of tires, brakes one bad alternator, a failed coil pack and a few wheel bearings.
Daily driven on my 120 mile daily commute. Will post again when I make another milestone.
My 2008 Elantra had well over 350,000. I had to sell it to my friend; he had it for another year, and he was able to put up another 30,000 miles on it. I had my Elantra for 13 years. I still loved it. I really miss my Hyundai car; I got a Chevy.
That’s awesome man. Actually quite insane. I’m a good way. And this is from the generation of Theta engines that had some issues too. Clearly, you do a lot of highway driving I’m assuming? Once again, great job haha.
Nice! I had a 2009 Santa Fe that had 279,000 miles. I just retired it and bought a 2022 Tucson. My Santa Fe never had any major issues and all original as well.
Had nearly 200k on our 13 Sonata 2.0T, then the engine seized, now we have a new engine (covered fully with Hyundai)—hope she goes another 200k. Solid!

Is it burning oil and how often is the oil changed?
It does use just a bit of oil, but not very much considering the mileage.
I will confess, I don’t change the oil nearly as often as I should. I have used Castrol High Mileage oil since it turned over 100k, and I switched from 5W-30 to 10W-30 around 200k.
