I hated mine. I’m glad I traded it in for an Elantra.

Same, I hated mine so much. I had the 2024 Kona SEL and traded it for a 2024 Elantra N-Line. Everything about it is better. The Kona just had bigger screens.
I have a 2020 SEL Kona with 46k miles. The car is boring to drive, and the materials feel cheap, but I haven’t had any mechanical issues, averaging around 26-28 MPG. I plan to wait for the full tax credit and trade it in for a 2025 Ioniq 5.
I have a 2018 AWD SE. I got it with about 30k miles, and I’m at 109k now. I have a real love-hate relationship with the car lol, but I haven’t had any major mechanical issues, so no complaints. It does burn oil. I had the piston rings checked at the dealer just before 100k, and they passed the recall inspection. I had to replace the crankshaft position sensor, but that was easy to do myself.
If you can get one for the right price, I’d say go for it.
I had a 2020 Kona and now a 2024 Kona 1.6T N-Line AWD. It’s a great car. Very quiet in the cabin, and the Bose system is excellent. No issues so far, and I wish I could drive it more since my wife uses it for work, and I use a company truck.
The 2024 model is much larger.
I rode with a buddy on the freeway in his Kona. He’s not a bad driver, but it was still the most terrifying ride I’ve ever had. There was so much road noise, a rough ride, and it didn’t handle very well. Overall, not good. 0/10 would not recommend.
I own a 2024 Kona EV LTD and a 2025 Kona SEL FWD. We love them both. They have way more features than other cars in the same category and price range.
If you’re considering the Kona, look at new ones. The pre-owned certified warranty is not through Hyundai but through JMNA, and it isn’t as good as the factory warranty.

How does the pre-owned certified warranty differ from the factory warranty?
@greenvil_omete
The approvals take longer, it’s not a Hyundai warranty, and you have to pay a deductible.
