I think when I was in an accident I got the estimate first and then notification that it was being written off came a few days later. They have to write the estimate first and then determine whether or not to write it off. Give it a few more days.

I’m surprised deployed airbags don’t make it totaled. Where I live I think insurers are mandated by law to total any car with deployed airbags.
