Here are the steps to replace the battery of Hyundai Key Fob

  1. Locate the small cover on the back of the fob and pry it off with a coin.
  2. Remove the old CR2032 or CR2025 battery and note the polarity markings.
  3. Insert the new battery with the positive side facing up.
  4. Replace the cover and snap it into position.
  5. Test that the fob now works by pressing the buttons.

If replacing the battery doesn’t fix it, the fob may need programming or replacing by your Hyundai dealer. But hopefully a new battery gets you back up and running! Let me know if you have any other questions.

Not too difficult to tear apart a key fob. Repair it or replace the case. eBay is an easy place to find replacement cases and then you put your old circuit board/guts in.

  3. Insert the new battery with + facing up.
