Imagining the 2024 Sonata as a Hot Wheels (*ignore if you don't like ai)

I used to sell cars at a multi-franchise dealership around the turn of the century. I mainly worked in the Honda showroom but could sell any brand the customer wanted. Back then, Hyundai was still pretty unknown and located in a hallway between dealerships. They had just introduced “America’s Best Warranty” to improve their reputation from being seen as a low-quality manufacturer. One day, I had a customer who couldn’t afford a new Accord, so I showed them a 5-speed Sonata. We had to jump-start it and even move some cars and tables to get it out, but once I drove it, I was pleasantly surprised by how well it performed. The customer liked it too and ended up buying it. That day, I realized Hyundai wasn’t a joke anymore and began suggesting it to other clients.

Eventually, I was moved to Hyundai, where I sold a lot of cars and made many happy customers. I later left for another dealership (bad move) and then switched careers entirely, but I’ve always appreciated Hyundai, especially the Sonata.

Fast forward to today: I now work the graveyard shift in a low-responsibility job with little supervision or human contact. To pass the time at night, I play around with AI image generators. I also have a 4-year-old son who reignited my childhood love for Hot Wheels. Okay, my love for Hot Wheels is more like an obsession now, and we play with cars all the time. I tell him which ones are special and why. One brand I think is special and underrepresented in the Hot Wheels world is Hyundai—especially the Sonata.

That’s what brought me here today: I wanted to share some AI images I generated of the Hyundai Sonata as a Hot Wheels car. I’ve been playing with prompts and would love to hear what you think. Let me know which one you like the most—or, if AI isn’t your thing, feel free to shake your fist at the sky and tell me to get off your lawn! (By the way, I’m a fan of long-roof cars.)

would kill for a sonata wagon

That wagon makes me want a Sonata wagon

Wagon looks sick, but I’m over here still waiting on a gen 1 VT to be made by hotwheels or matchbox. Also, I love the battle car version as well. Not usually a fan of A.I. stuff, but good post OP

Thank you! I love having a tool to turn words into images because I have no artistic ability. My hands are pretty beat up so my passion for Hot Wheels cars will never extend into customizing them.

I do hate lazy A.I.

Came here to say the wagon looks sick.

As a sonata owner, these are so damn cool! Especially the wagons like the others mentioned!

A N-Line Sonata Wagon would sell like hotcakes

(OP) I would be thrilled to see! Like, literally I would be thrilled to be able to see over other vehicles while driving my car because a bold automaker released a station wagon and it sold well, had other auto companies follow suit and turned the tide from all these nearly identical dang SUVs that block my visibility when I’m driving my Ford Fiesta hatchback.

The Sonata Wagon and Sonata Ute look awesome.

Another thing I wish we had, utes.

Wagons and utes would be so much more useful and interesting to the eye than the world of basically Pontiac Aztek but not ugly knock offs everybody buys.

This is the 2021-2023 Hyundai Sonata, just to be clear. The 2024 looks a lot different! The concept is cool tho!

Hyundai pl tell us that you see the positive feedback of that wagon illustration blink blink

Imagine a 2-door N-Line Sonata convertible. That would be so wicked

Hey OP! Sick pictures. Which AI gen tool did you use?

6 - Now I want a Sonata wagon…

8 - That gulf blue is sexy af

14 - I would absolutely love to have that as well

Sonata Ute looks better than the Santa Cruz

If there was a Hyundai Excel/First gen Accent Hot Wheels I’d buy that in 2 seconds flat
