Hey folks… I’ve got a 2020 Sonata, and I’ve noticed this weird noise when I turn the wheel a lot, like when I’m parking or making sharp turns. It doesn’t happen all the time, just when I really crank the wheel. Is this something to worry about, or is it normal? Anyone else experiencing this? TIA
If you’re still under warranty, you can get it fixed for free. It’s just a bearing in your wheel that needs replacing. Should be a breeze for you…

My ride’s still under warranty, but I checked for any recalls and it ain’t got none. So, I’m dealing with this issue and thought, if there’s a problem, shouldn’t it be covered by a recall?
It’s the steering coupling, bro. Hyundai went the cheap route with the parts—no shocker there. It’s just a $6 piece of plastic that might not even last. I’d say trade your ride in because it’s been recalled on a bunch of models. It could also be your steering column, but either way, I’d trade it in or sell it. Trust me, it’s gonna keep happening. Hyundai is caught up in a big lawsuit over stolen cars. If you got one, check out those Kia Boyz on YouTube and grab a steering lock for your whip!
Normal for a Hyundai. You get what you pay for.
I swear every pre 2022 Hyundai on our lot does this, Elantras to palisades o_O
