I have a 2019 Sonata, and I’m noticing a leak coming from the driver side panel. Has anyone experienced this issue?
What steps should I take to identify and fix the leak? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated…

I had a similar leak in an old Daihatsu. The left rubber strip on the roof was held by two small pins soldered to the body, and there was a tiny hole right at that spot. I used a small amount of sealant, and the problem was fixed in about 5 minutes.
Do you have a Sunroof?
I’ve seen a few cases of similar leaks in 2019 Sonatas, and I’m happy to share some common causes and fixes with you…One common issue is a faulty windshield wiper blade that’s causing water to leak into the vehicle. Another possibility is a clogged sunroof drain that’s allowing water to accumulate inside the vehicle.
To fix these issues, you can try replacing the windshield wiper blades with new ones or cleaning out the sunroof drain with a small brush. You can also check the door seals and replace them if necessary.
If none of these solutions work, it might be worth taking your vehicle to a professional mechanic for further diagnosis and repair.
If your 2019 Sonata is still under warranty, you can contact your local dealership or Hyundai’s customer service department to see if they can provide any assistance or guidance.
As a manufacturer-backed warranty, you may be eligible for free repairs or replacements under certain circumstances. Even if your vehicle is no longer under warranty, it’s worth contacting Hyundai’s customer service department to see if they have any resources or recommendations for fixing the leak.
