Turbo Keeps Going In and Out (2015 hyundai sonata) – Need Help

I’m having some trouble with my 2015 hyundai sonata. It runs fine, but the check engine light just came on. Sometimes, when I’m driving on the freeway, the turbo stops working and won’t come back on until I let the car rest for a few hours.

I’m thinking about going to the dealership, but I’m worried about how much they might charge me. Does anyone have any ideas about what might be wrong with the turbocharger? I’ve never dealt with this issue before, so I really need your help! :pray:t4::weary: Thanks

Sounds like a waste gate control solenoid coming and going. Will need proper diag though.

It’s the wastegate, and only Hyundai can handle it. I had the same problem, and they charged me a few hundred bucks to fix it.

What are the engine codes? And what year is your car?
