Vehicle rolling off jack during tire change

flat tire on the passenger side up front. complied with the instructions. The dashboard indicates that the parking brake is on. The car rolled off the jack and rearward. The tire had broken all of the front bodywork connectors and was still in the wheel well.
Hyundai claims that after contacting the dealer, the service adviser found nothing wrong with the vehicle.
This happened before they even had their first service.

Has anyone else witnessed this???

If a vehicle rolls off the jack while the wheel is off:

  1. Secure the Vehicle: Put blocks behind the rear wheels to stop rolling.
  2. Lift the Car: Use another jack to lift the vehicle.
  3. Use Jack Stands: Add jack stands for safety.
  4. Reposition the Jack: Adjust as needed.
  5. Check Stability: Ensure the car is stable before continuing.

I’ve heard horror stories about cars rolling off jacks, but this is on another level. Hyundai claiming nothing is wrong is simply unacceptable.

You should escalate this to a higher level within Hyundai, possibly their customer relations department.

Document everything, including pictures, and consider consulting with an attorney.

This is a serious safety issue and you deserve compensation for the damages and emotional distress.
