I agree. With a gap like that and low-profile tires, it needs to be lowered soon.
I’m not a fan, but it’s not the worst thing I’ve seen.

It’s bold but not over the top. Looks like a style choice rather than trying to compensate. I don’t dislike it. I don’t love it either. But it’s not mine. I respect this guy for doing his own thing.

That seems wrong
I’ve seen them lifted a bit with bigger, more aggressive tires. That’s the only way they look decent.
It’s not good. Those skinny sidewalls don’t fit well with the plastic cladding. It just makes the wheel well look huge.
