My 2025 SEL Premium has heated and ventilated second-row seats, auto rear open, sits on 20-inch rims, and has AWD.
LOL. Did you know? The manager and sales rep that sold me my car told me it came with run-flat tires. They actually looked under the car before confirming that lie.
@willwinfrey
Larger wheels don’t actually make the car sit higher. They just use lower-profile tires, which also means a rougher ride. The overall tire diameter is the same.

If it weren’t for the bad customer service, lack of proper maintenance, and the issues with the engine and transmission, I wouldn’t mind buying it again. But next time, I’ll spend $55K elsewhere. I really hate my 2021 SEL Limited. The engineers cut corners, and the salespeople are just liars.
We wanted the suede headliner and the glass roof for rear passengers. Honestly, I thought the Canadian model only had two trims. We wanted nicer leather. I felt I got more for my money with the Calligraphy than with a similarly priced MDX. So far, it’s been great. My family jokes about me choosing Hyundai, especially since I used to have an MDX. But the two things I miss from the MDX are the quicker-heating heated seats and the adaptive suspension. The Palisade is more of a cruiser, offers more space, better fuel economy, and I don’t need to use premium gas. One feature the MDX had that the Palisade doesn’t is the electronic adjustable steering wheel.
@pascar
We cross-shopped the MDX and couldn’t find anything at a similar price that matched the Palisade. The interior wasn’t as well laid out as our 2022 Calligraphy, and I couldn’t deal with the VCM issues in the Honda V6 engine (MDX and Pilot). It’s hard to say I picked a Hyundai over a Honda since my Civic was flawless for over 10 years, but Honda’s not as good as they were 20 years ago. I made sure the Hyundai had a long warranty though. The heated seats in the Palisade heat up too much for me. I have to turn them down after about 10 minutes.
