Which looks better 2024 matte brown or 2025 white

I’m worried about taking care of a matte finish and really want a light interior. But the price difference is pretty big. Are these good prices? I’m in the Midwest USA.

I have the matte brown - the main thing is to only use soap and water, no wax or anything like that.

Also, if you lease a plug-in hybrid, it can knock $7500 off the price, but that’s for plug-ins, not regular hybrids.

Just to clarify, only plug-in hybrids get the tax credit. The 2024 Santa Fe Hybrid doesn’t qualify for that, so you won’t get the $7500 off on a lease. Hybrids are tough to lease because Hyundai doesn’t need to offer deals to sell them, especially the higher trims like Calligraphy or Limited with the brown interior. Just a heads-up!

Thanks for explaining! I didn’t realize it only applied to plug-ins.

Thanks, but I prefer buying. My current cars are 11 and 7 years old, and I bought them new.

If you buy a plug-in hybrid, you could lease first and then buy it out at the end to get the $7500 savings.

Totally get that. You could still calculate the lease and buy it at the end for the $7500 discount. Lower payments for 3 years, then a used car loan.

Go for the matte brown. I don’t think the white looks as good.

I actually like the white, gives off a cool stormtrooper vibe.

It’s funny, I usually like white cars, but the 2024 looks weird in white. It highlights the wrong parts of the design.

I think the 2021-2023 models look better in white, but not the 2024s.

My dealer told me that matte brown requires a lot more care, and any scratches or chips will be more noticeable. It depends on whether you’re willing to put in the effort to maintain it.

I went with Hampton Gray, and the color is amazing. It even looks different depending on the time of day!

I have a 2023 in Hampton Gray, and yeah, it definitely changes colors. Love it!

I got a 2025 Hybrid Limited in matte brown with a tan interior and got a nice discount off MSRP.

I know the Calligraphy is better, but I didn’t think it was worth the extra cost. Plus, I need the 7-passenger seating sometimes, and the Calligraphy’s captain’s chairs in the second row mean you lose a seat.

I heard that you can’t run a matte finish through a car wash, so I went with a different color. I got the 2025 Santa Fe Limited Hybrid, and I’ve had it for a week. I love it so far! I wanted the Calligraphy Hybrid, but they’re really hard to find.

@Leeland
Matte brown all the way. It just looks better.

@Leeland
I love both colors, but I’ve also heard matte is harder to maintain. I ended up getting Rockwood Green, and I love it.

@Leeland
Automatic car washes aren’t great for any paint job, but matte finishes are tougher to fix if they get scratched. Hyundai’s matte paints have a clear coat, so they can be fixed a little, but I’d still hand wash. Just pick the color you like and take care of it.

@Leeland
Actually, these prices are pretty good.

@Leeland
I’m leaning toward the Hybrid Calligraphy.
