After testing the hybrid versions of the 2024/2025 Sonata, Camry, and Accord, I realised the Sonata was the only one that actually felt comfortable to drive as someone who’s 6’3 and not into SUVs. In the Camry, no matter what I adjusted, my knees kept hitting the steering wheel and I couldn’t sit up straight in the back seat because my head was on the roof. The Accord had the same headroom issue, but the driving position was ok. The Sonata was different, with plenty of space to sit comfortably in the back and more room to stretch out my legs. Plus, the interior felt much nicer (although the steering wheel shifter is odd). So now I’m on the lookout for a Sonata with the spec I like. Hopefully, this helps anyone else trying to make up their mind.
Sonata is top choice here… which trim caught your eye?

I’m 20 and it’s my first car, so I’m going with the SEL Hybrid.

You’re going to love it! The newer Sonatas are awesome. I’ve got a 2015 Limited 2.0T, and it’s still my favourite ride. Can’t even imagine what a new Sonata must feel like.
@Timber
A friend of mine has a 2024 Accord, and while it’s a solid car, I’d still pick my older Sonata any day. Just something about the Sonata, you know?

Honestly, driving it felt like a car worth $25k max. The markups these days are wild.
I’m 6’3 too and can’t stand SUVs either. We got my wife a Kona back in 2021, and I was surprised by how well I fit in it. When it was my turn to pick a car, I stuck with Hyundai because of how reliable they’ve been for us. I went with the 2024 Sonata AWD, and it’s been great so far. Almost went with the hybrid, but my driving habits don’t really benefit from it.
Sonata all the way, I’m 6 feet.
I drive a 2024 N Line Sonata, and the seat feels a bit high. I’m 6’3 as well.

Have you tried lowering the seat all the way and tilting it slightly back?

Tried everything I could with the seat adjustments. Even reviews I’ve seen mention the seat height being a bit off.
@klausmark2
I’m a bit shorter at 6’1 so it works for me. You could try opening the panoramic roof for some extra room.

I’m not hitting my head or anything… it’s more that it feels like sitting higher up than in a typical sedan. Fits fine otherwise, but the mounting position isn’t the best.
@klausmark2
Gotcha. Maybe it’s partly because of the new screen setup since there’s no traditional cluster cover?

I have both a 2022 and a 2024, and although they’re built the same, sitting in the 2024 feels a bit different.

Even at the lowest seat setting? I’m 6 feet, and while the Sonata felt good, I ended up with the Elantra N-Line and my head barely clears the roof in my usual seat position.
@HyundaiFanaticX
Yeah, even at the lowest setting, it feels like I’m sitting on a stack of books. I end up having to slouch a bit to feel comfortable.
The Sonata is just a pleasure to drive. And it’s got the looks too. My 2021 SE still gives me 37-47 MPG .

Can’t praise this car enough. Got a 2021 SE too, just passed 114k miles. I drive a lot for work, and it’s been super reliable and even seems to be getting better with fuel efficiency over time.
