Hello, I’ve had my 2024 Elantra N-Line for about 3 months, and I absolutely love it. The sound system is incredible, and I tend to really crank up the volume when listening to my favorite tracks (might have overdone it a bit with the bass-heavy ones ).
Unfortunately, I think I may have blown one or two speakers—the sound has started to crackle and distort. My question is: would this kind of damage be covered under the manufacturer’s warranty, or will they consider it user-caused due to excessive volume? Has anyone else dealt with a similar issue?

Just ask them but don’t mention you had the volume up. Say you started it and noticed something strange with the sound and you’re unsure what happened
Exactly, just say you heard a strange sound from the speakers. Dealers will charge you if they think you were at fault, so better to keep quiet about the high volume
Manufacturers usually won’t cover user damage. I’d say you keep hearing a strange sound from the speakers at certain volumes. They might hesitate but if you don’t admit to overuse, they should look into it. Speakers shouldn’t blow just from normal usage. I crank mine up all the time and it’s still working fine after 3 months. If you mention it was from playing music loud, they might say it’s due to the type of music instead of the volume. This is just my view, so we’ll see how it goes when you check with them and what story you decide to share
That’s all you need to say. It happened to my Mazda 3, and when they asked if I play music loud, I said occasionally but the radio should handle it. They replaced the speaker with no issues
How do the speakers blow on a 2024 model? I have Bose in my 7-year-old Mazda, and I’ve been cranking them up almost every day for 5 years and they still sound great. Maybe it’s because I don’t turn the bass past 3/4 and I can’t handle max volume
