Bought a 2006 Sonata 4 years ago, initially loved its smoothness. Started having issues in February, found low oil despite recent change. Mechanic added oil but a month later, heard rough rattle on cold start-ups. Mechanic diagnosed it as timing chain issue, quoted $2400 for repairs. After repairs, same sound persisted.
