I’m having an issue with the left rear turn signal on my 2014 Elantra GT. The connection is faulty—sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. When I remove the housing and wiggle the wire, the turn signal comes back on, depending on how the wire is positioned. This makes me think there’s a bad connection at the adapter that holds the turn signal bulb.
I thought I could replace the entire wiring harness, but the main wire seems to disappear into the car’s frame, and there’s no obvious way to unplug the harness like I’ve done on other cars.
Any guidance or insight would be greatly appreciated. I’ve attached a screenshot from an online video to show where the wire goes into the car. Should I keep pulling it out to find the unplugging point, or is it more complicated and located deeper inside the car?
Thanks!
