Just tried starting my car and immediately the infotainment screen glitched out and went black. Every light came on, and after turning off the car the front headlights and overhead interior lights started glitching/flashing too. Got a warning that said ‘check bsd system’ that glitched out and went away, and a bunch of check lights appeared for like 0.01 seconds—not long enough to read anything—before all going away again too. Not sure what’s happening but the car won’t start. Any ideas?
Update: now it won’t turn back on saying ‘key not detected.’ Got my backup car key just in case, but still nothing except the front screen in the picture will start lighting up everything again for a few seconds but no engine sound or anything else.
Sounds like a can-bus issue.
How old is the battery?

Just got it replaced less than a year ago. Shouldn’t be an issue, I don’t think.

Double check it anyway if you can.
My Nonna has a completely different car, but needed a new battery after the original one from 1999 finally died. She went through two different batteries after that, about a year after each other. She’s now on her 3rd one and it’s been fine since, though she also started using a battery tender too.
Anyway, today’s batteries are a toss-up. You might get a good one, you might not. Today’s vehicles are very sensitive to them due to all the computers, so it’s a cheap and easy thing to check.

It’s still the place you should start. Test it and see if it’s bad or drained for some reason. It could be a bad alternator or some other weird battery drain issue. You could try a jump box and see if you can get ignition on at least or get it to crank. If you can get power to it you can scan for codes, but low voltage will set a ton of codes by itself.
