As expected, the transmission needs to be replaced. The estimated arrival for the part is October 16th, and that doesn’t include installation time.
Some parts orders have even been outright canceled, so it’s turning into a mess. The car is just 5 weeks old with 5000 kms, and the issue started in the first week.
Ours wasn’t flagged under the “stop sale” despite many others being affected. It’s odd that the recall isn’t listed anywhere, though the dealer confirmed it’s in Hyundai’s system. Completely unacceptable. I’ll be pursuing a full refund.
