I got a 2024 Limited Hybrid and added some custom touches to make it my own! I wrapped the gray trim along the top of the doors to match the car color since I wasn’t a fan of the original look. I also put on window louvers and winged mirror caps to give it a sportier vibe, and I painted the brake calipers ruby red! Lastly, I added app-controlled ambient light strips to the dash and doors that can sync with music. I’m super happy with how it all turned out—let me know what you think.
Very nice mods. Can the light strip inside change colors?

Yes! The app connected to them has a full color wheel and also includes preset “scenes,” allowing for multiple colors and effects like cascading and rainbow flow.

Do you have a link from where you bought it?

Yes, I got them from Amazon, and they’re powered by the car’s battery, so they turn on automatically when the car does. Here’s the link: https://a.co/d/8cpmEZf

Very cool! Which option (length) did you select from your Amazon link? Could you connect to the 12V yourself? What about warranty, does this installation void it? I’d love to get this for my 2025 facelift.

Awesome, thanks! Was there a Tucson specific tutorial you used to install them? Was the black wrap for the trim pre-cut?

These lights are universal for any car with a separation. I didn’t have a Tucson-specific tutorial, but if you follow the Amazon link to the tutorial or search for ambient lighting installation, it’s all similar. I can send more detailed photos of my installation if you’d like. For the wrap, it was layered on top of the silver accent and cut out to match the shape.

Nice!
The black wrap over the silver strip makes such a difference. How much work did that take?

It really does! I love the blacked-out look! I took it to a local auto body shop, and it took about 6 hours for both the wrap and the red calipers, I had them done at the same time.
@bellaliz
Out of curiosity, how much did the wrap cost you?

Most of the cost was for labor. If you bought the wrap and did it yourself, it would be around $150, based on my local shop’s price list.
Very cool.
How long did it take you to install the light strip?

Definitely took some time! I had to remove the door panel to connect the wires to the car battery. Overall, it took about 5 hours.
