Hi everyone…
I just recently purchased a 2024 Tucson Hybrid, and I keep seeing the term “EPB” mentioned in the manual and discussions about the vehicle. I feel a little stupid for not knowing what it means, and I want to make sure I fully understand my new car!
Could someone please explain what EPB stands for and how it relates to the Tucson Hybrid? Any additional details about its functionality would be really helpful too…

The 2024 Tucson Hybrid EPB refers to the 2024 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid, which features an Electronic Parking Brake (EPB). EPB provides convenience by allowing the parking brake to be engaged electronically, offering a more modern and user-friendly parking experience.
Hello!
Don’t feel bad about the EPB question – we’ve all been there with a new car. EPB simply stands for Electronic Parking Brake.
It’s basically a fancy way of saying your parking brake is now run by electricity instead of a hand lever.
In your Tucson Hybrid, it’s likely a button or switch you’ll find near the gear shift. It’s super handy because it engages automatically when you park, and releases when you hit the gas.
It also helps with hill-start assist and other cool features. Don’t worry, you’ll get the hang of it in no time!
