2025 vs 2024 Santa Fe Calligraphy

I’m getting ready to buy my third Santa Fe, and I’m really interested in a 2025 model. What are the differences between the 2024 and 2025 versions? Am I making a mistake wanting the newer one

The main difference is that the 2025 has an extra color option, otherwise they’re pretty much the same.

I’m in the same boat. This will also be my third Santa Fe. Are you going for gas or hybrid? I prefer gas but am considering hybrid because of the transmission issues (I know most of those have been fixed with a software update, but I still hear about people having problems)

@Barack
Let’s be clear, there is only one problem and it’s the software. Can you point us to those “people still having issues” because they certainly aren’t here in this forum.

No differences besides the blue color option. If the price is about the same, the 2025 makes more sense, especially when reselling later on. It will sound like a whole new model year, haha.

Literally no differences other than the blue color (and a price increase), but that aspect mattered to me.

You get the Atlantic blue for sure. I think the 2025 also has a bigger infotainment screen and maybe some minor exterior design changes. Someone correct me if I’m wrong

I believe both years have the same dual 12.4 inch screen setup. From what I see, I don’t notice any design differences. I know the 2025 has a firmware upgrade for the transmission, so it shouldn’t have the same issues as the 2024. For me, that’s enough to go for the 2025.

@StephieStephie
That’s a good point.

@StephieStephie
The 2024 models also received a firmware update, so that shouldn’t be an issue either.

Nothing changed apart from the color options. The cars are the same.

@Smith
That’s true. Hyundai’s official spec sheet only notes the new color. No other options or enhancements and the price went up about $300 or so.

The screen is the same size

A bigger screen sounds like a big deal for my older eyes.

@jordansmith
It’s pretty nice. They did a great job with that big screen, haha. The Calligraphy has everything you need

@jordansmith
It’s not actually bigger, LOL

I think there are very few differences except now both passenger and driver sides have the layback feature, while it was just the driver side before. From what I gather, this is true in the US, but I can’t be 100% sure. I have a 2024 Calligraphy and checked for any major differences before I signed.

@HyundaiDriver247
The 2025 actually doesn’t have the layback feature even though the manual claims it does. Trust me on that…
