One runs on gas and the other one doesn’t

Volvo at home. Looks good tho.

I like it. Haven’t seen the whole interior yet. Watching Doug demero’s vid on it. One question I had. And this maybe applies to most EVs or maybe cars in general. What the heck do you do if a turn signal etc goes out? Feel like it would be expensive.

Way more so than say I need to replace a bulb in my 13 Impala.

@BobReuben
Typically, LED lights have a lifespan of 40,000 hours. That means if you drive 10 hours a day, you can use them for 11 years.

@BobReuben
What makes you think a turn signal is harder to replace on an EV?

@BobReuben
CarSceneKorea uploaded a YT clip exploring the interior options today.

Hyundai why couldn’t you have made it 8 seats?

Hyundai why couldn’t you have made it 8 seats?

Because if they did, then I would complain ‘Hyundai, why couldn’t you have made it 6 seats?’

110.3 kWh battery for those who looked at the phase ‘big old battery’ and wondered what they meant.

Not bad. I’m more hoping the battery finds its way to the smaller Ioniq 5 and 6.

They upped density already on Ioniq 5 while maintaining the same weight (77 → 84 kWh for mid-cycle refresh).

110 is huge. I would not want it on the Ioniq 5 without addressing weight.

@BillSmith
Good point. We were looking at the 6, but waiting on the refresh next year which is rumored to come with the same 84 kWh battery pack.

The concept had me sold, but I’m not a fan.

This is an example of why the Santa Fe lights are the way they are. The rear lift gate on this 9 looks to have similar struts mounts but have been moved inboard to accommodate the vertical tail lights, but in doing so the trunk opening is a lot narrower than Santa Fe. A review video even mentioned the narrow opening in their first impression.

What’s interesting is the start-stop button moved to the column-mounted twist shifter. Further cleans up the dash.

Due to timing I got a Palisade a few months ago. Wish this came out sooner!

Is this built on the same platform as the EV9? Really like the EV9 a whole lot more than this.

This seems to buck the bold boxy design language of the new Santa Fe. Would have loved to see this one designed as its big brother.

It looks like an ugly Volvo SUV :nauseated_face:
