Just remember this is still a soft family crossover, not a Wrangler or Defender. The DTC also won’t like extended low-speed crawling.

But they have a commercial where a Santa Fe carries a Viking family up a mountain!
Is this a good result?

For what it is, it’s not bad. I do wish Hyundai would make a real off-roader…
If they can program the DCT for more efficient handling of wheel slip, it might be able to handle slower speed crawling.
Tuning the DCT might be a thing as more tuners get on board with refreshing, etc.
@klausmark3
Yep, it works great as a rally car.
Sweet!!! The XRT is awesome!

It really is!
Lmao! Any Hyundai that I’ve driven (around 15 of them) absolutely lifts a tire just entering some parking lots. I’ve driven them to tops of mountains in snow and a couple through shallow rivers during fall. Have never been stuck, but I also know the limits. They do decently off-road, but certainly not like a solid axle truck or Jeep. Articulating is not a Hyundai thing. Lol!

I know right? I really wish they would make a real off-roader.

You’ll never get that from the factory with a unibody. It would take a crazy amount of fab work.
@NexoNomad
Get what?..
