I checked the rules, I don’t think I’m breaking any, and I really need Hyundai Talk’s help.
2020 Santa Fe w/ push button Start.
At some point over the past week, it stopped recognizing the primary key. Pushing the Start button didn’t work, but I was prompted to push it with the key fob. No problem - I push the button with the key fob, and it starts up no problem. But I can’t lock it.
I’m currently on vacation with my family and want to be able to lock our car. In the process of troubleshooting, I pressed the Lock button on the door and was successful. And then, I stupidly closed the door.
And now I’m locked out with a key fob that will start the vehicle when pressed against the Start button - but I can’t get in. No spare key - it’s back home. We’re 3 hours away, and I don’t know what to do.
Does anyone have any advice on how I can get back in?
