Aid-I'm locked out of 2020 Santa Fe and three hours away from home

I checked the rules, I don’t think I’m breaking any, and I really need Hyundai Talk’s help.

2020 Santa Fe w/ push button Start.

At some point over the past week, it stopped recognizing the primary key. Pushing the Start button didn’t work, but I was prompted to push it with the key fob. No problem - I push the button with the key fob, and it starts up no problem. But I can’t lock it. :key::red_car:

I’m currently on vacation with my family and want to be able to lock our car. In the process of troubleshooting, I pressed the Lock button on the door and was successful. And then, I stupidly closed the door. :grimacing:

And now I’m locked out with a key fob that will start the vehicle when pressed against the Start button - but I can’t get in. No spare key - it’s back home. We’re 3 hours away, and I don’t know what to do.

Does anyone have any advice on how I can get back in? :sos:

Your key fob has an extra physical key built into it. The door handle has a little tab that slides out to reveal the actual lock.

There is a small tab on the back of the keyfob; push it over to remove the key.

@Anand Entered. Hew! I really appreciate it.

Your key fob should contain a spare physical key hidden within. Your door handle should include a tiny panel that may be removed to reveal the standard key slot for the actual key.
