Just found out my Hyundai is affected by the fuel pump recall. They say it might cause stalling or power issues. Anyone else here had this issue? What did you do? Kinda stressing about it…
Yeah, same here! I have a Tucson and noticed it was sluggish sometimes. Turns out it’s on the list. I called the dealership, and they’re replacing it for free. Have you scheduled yours yet?

Not yet! Didn’t know it was free. Thanks for the heads-up! Did they say how long it’ll take?
@gradygarth
No problem! They told me a couple of hours for the fix. Just check your VIN online to confirm if you haven’t yet.
@gradygarth
Wait, VIN lookup? Where can I do that?

Yeah, just go to Hyundai’s recall site or NHTSA lookup. Easy way to see if your car’s affected.
My Elantra’s on the recall too. Noticed some odd sounds from the back, so maybe it’s related? Kinda sounds like a whine or something.

Yep, the whining noise is classic fuel pump issues. Definitely get it checked out, better safe than sorry.
I’m still driving mine, but I have noticed it’s hard to start sometimes. Should I be worried?

If it’s hard to start, that’s one of the symptoms. Best not to drive it until you get it checked—might save you from a breakdown.
@Ronald
Oh wow, didn’t think it was that serious. Thanks, I’ll get it in ASAP!
Anyone know if this is covered by Hyundai or if I have to pay? Don’t want any surprise bills lol.

All covered! Hyundai takes care of parts and labor, no cost to you.
@TucsonTalker3
Sweet! That’s a relief. Thanks for the info!
Anyone know if Hyundai notifies us directly, or do we have to check ourselves?

They should mail something out, but if you’re impatient (like me lol), you can check online with your VIN.
@SueJohnson
Lol, got it! I’ll go check my VIN now.
