So Hyundai and Kia just showed off this whole new vision for smart factories at E-FOREST TECH DAY. They’re calling it Software-Defined Factories and it sounds like they’re aiming to make production super high-tech with stuff like AI and robots. Anyone got thoughts on this?
I saw that! Sounds like they’re going big on automation. They’re even using robots for logistics now?

Yeah, they mentioned Logistics AMRs that can move all around the factory, even with heavy stuff on board. No more forward-only bots!
@Umbrielle
That’s cool! So they can navigate curves and everything?
Did anyone else read about their Infinite Multi-Axis Holding Fixture? They’re making flexible parts assembly way easier.

Yep, one fixture can adjust to fit different parts like doors or hoods. Smart move for cutting costs on fixtures.
@madisonwilson
Makes sense for mass production. Fewer custom setups for each part.
I’m curious about the SPOT! solution they’re using for inspections. AI-driven safety checks sound futuristic!

Right? They’re using sensors like ‘eyes, nose, mouth’ for inspections. Can actually sense changes in the environment.
@Arthur
Wow, that sounds intense! I guess it makes safety checks faster and maybe more accurate?
Can’t believe they’re automating UAM assembly! Aligning body and wings with 0.025 mm precision? That’s wild.

Seriously! Takes a process that used to be days and brings it down to hours. Huge time saver.
@millicent
Wonder how much that kind of precision equipment costs though.
This whole E-FOREST thing is pretty impressive. They’re really putting in effort to integrate everything with AI.

Yeah, they even mentioned ‘digital twins’ – like virtual models of the factories. Must be insane to see that tech in action.
@Evans
For sure. Must make it easier to spot issues before they become big problems.
