Took some time to really wash my car today. Perfect week for it with no rain at all .
I need to wash mine… living in the country with a dirt and gravel driveway means it just gets dirty again right after washing.

I can only imagine how frustrating that would be… feels like all the work just disappears!
@Jacob
That’s why I chose the Portofino Grey… hides the dirt pretty well. Here’s a pic so you can check out the door sills sills

Portofino Grey and Aero Silver are solid choices for hiding dirt. Silver hides scratches better too… too bad there’s no Camel interior with the Aero Silver though.
@Jacob
Funny thing… I traded in my 23 Elantra that was always super dirty, and everyone at the dealership thought I had just washed the new one. They were like ‘wow, nice car wash’ haha.
Is that a Hybrid SEL? In my opinion, this is the best color combo and wheels. I’m biased since I have the same car! Enjoy those long miles on a full tank. Do you have a car wash membership? I got one for $29/month… unlimited washes are a game changer.
@Megan
Mine’s a Hybrid Limited with Camel interior. I really wanted the Aero Silver but couldn’t get it with the Camel. And auto washes are okay, but they can mess with the paint over time. Plus, I just like doing it myself when I have the time, as long as it’s not raining here in Florida… luckily, the rainy season is about over!
@Jacob
I just checked out a 2025 Elantra Hybrid Limited today… is that what this is? Does it have one of those wet timing belts? And do you mind sharing your out-the-door price? I keep hearing about the engine issues and had a similar problem with my 2012… got my short block replaced just before the warranty ran out.
Just finished washing my Elantra N-Line today too. Feels good to have it clean!
This brings back memories of an old game, Day of the Tentacle. In the game, you need a storm to move forward, so you wash the car to make it rain. So… you say it wasn’t supposed to rain this week, but who knows now!
@Dipna
Haha! Well, I guess we’ll see… fingers crossed.
