Are Kia/ Hyundai/Genesis really that bad?

Hey,

I am currently in the market for a newer car, and I have to admit, my primary consideration is always the aesthetics before anything else.

Typically, a test drive helps me finalize my decision. Lately, I’ve been really impressed with the designs coming from Kia, Hyundai, and Genesis.

While I’ve owned some fantastic cars in the past, I’m realizing that as I mature, I don’t necessarily need a vehicle that can break track records or go from 0-60 in under 4 seconds.

What I’m after now is something that looks sleek, offers decent speed and handling, and is reliably durable for at least 120,000 miles. Do you think I’m crazy to be considering these brands?

@Preme For a sleek, reliable car with good handling and speed, consider the Hyundai Genesis Coupe.

Praised for its stylish design and fun drive, it’s also fuel efficient.

Owner reviews highlight high mileage reliability.

The Genesis Sedan and Kia Borrego are also reliable options.

Bottom line you should inspect any vehicle before buying.

I can understand your perspective on prioritizing aesthetics when looking for a new car.

Choosing a vehicle that you find visually appealing is a very reasonable consideration, especially as your priorities shift over time.

Korean automakers like Kia, Hyundai, and Genesis have certainly stepped up their design game in recent years, producing many attractive and stylish models across various segments.

If sleek styling is a key factor for you, then those brands are worth exploring further.

In terms of performance, it’s great that you’re recognizing that you don’t necessarily need supercar-level acceleration these days.

Focusing on getting decent speed and handling, along with long-term durability, sounds like a very practical approach.

I don’t think you’re crazy at all for considering those brands.

They’ve upped their game in terms of quality, reliability, and overall refinement.

As long as the specific model you test drive checks all your boxes in terms of looks, performance, and build quality, I’d say it’s a very reasonable choice.

The most important thing is finding a vehicle that you truly enjoy driving and that meets your current needs.

Prioritizing aesthetics is understandable, and Kia, Hyundai, and Genesis offer excellent designs.

Both Kia, Hyundai, and Genesis Focus on reliable and capable cars over performance is smart as needs evolve.

These brands are a wise choice, given their significant quality improvements in recent years.
