Hey all, I’ve got a 2021 Hyundai Tucson, and I can’t open the fuel door. It’s one of those push doors, and there’s no release lever inside the car. Has anyone had this issue before? What did you do to fix it? Thanks in advance!
Yeah, I had the same issue! Try unlocking all the doors, not just the driver’s door. That might help. Also, use a credit card or plastic tool to gently pry it open.

Thanks! I tried unlocking all the doors, but it’s still stuck. Guess I’ll have to try the credit card trick next.

Good luck! If it doesn’t work, might be a faulty actuator. Should be covered under warranty, though.
Happened to me too! You need to pry the right side of the fuel door gently. A dealership visit might be your best bet if it’s not working.

I might just have to do that. It’s super frustrating! Thanks for the tip.
I saw a YouTube video on this. They use a plastic knife to pop it open and mentioned that it’s a known issue. Worth a watch!

Yeah, I found the video too! Tried it, but still no luck. I guess it’s time for the dealership.
This seems to be a pretty common problem with the newer Tucson models. My friend had theirs fixed under warranty—definitely worth looking into.

That’s good to know. I’ll call the dealership tomorrow!
Ugh, that sucks. The dealership should be able to fix it for free, though. It’s annoying, but at least it’s covered!

True! I’m just glad it’s still under warranty. Thanks for the support!
