Hey everyone! I’ve been having this weird issue with my 2014 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid. It runs fine around town, but once I hit the highway, the hybrid system fails after about 15 miles and the battery indicator drops to zero. Has anyone else experienced this? Any ideas on what could be going on? Thanks!
I had a similar problem with my hybrid! It turned out to be a faulty battery. Maybe get it checked?

Oh wow, that sounds familiar! Did you have to replace the whole battery?
@TucsonTrekker
Yeah, unfortunately! But it fixed the problem. Better safe than sorry!
IDK about your specific model, but sometimes the hybrid systems can act up if the coolant is low. Have you checked that?

I haven’t looked at that yet! I’ll check it out. Thanks for the suggestion!
Make sure to reset the system if you can. Sometimes it just needs a little refresh!

Good idea! I’ll give that a shot and see if it helps.
Could also be an issue with the hybrid system software. Have you updated it lately?

Nope, I haven’t checked for updates! I’ll look into that too. Appreciate it!
My friend had a similar issue, and it was just a loose connection somewhere. Might wanna check that!

That’s a good point! I’ll take a peek under the hood. Thanks for the tip!
