Did an emblem delete just now… really happy with how it came out

Finally got around to removing the emblem and adding a cover panel. Loving the look so far.

Is it just me or does the blue look like it doesn’t match?

Yeah, it’s mostly the lighting… in person it’s super close to matching, just a tiny bit brighter, but not noticeable from close up.

Didn’t even notice the mismatch until someone pointed it out… still looks awesome .

The color’s way off and it doesn’t fit right either.

Did the best I could! If it bugs me later, I might have it painted by a pro

@Unclewaffl3s
The real issue here is using an aftermarket part. These often don’t seal well and might let water or debris in, especially since it’s on the front of the car, taking the brunt of everything on the road.

@StephieStephie
You’ve got a point

@StephieStephie
He didn’t remove a panel. Just took off the Hyundai badge and put a cover over it. No need to jump to conclusions.

@StephieStephie
I don’t get the confusion… he removed the emblem, not a panel. The bumper doesn’t rely on the emblem for weather protection, it’s just taped on.

Read the post again. He took off the emblem, saw holes, and put a panel over it. That’s why the color looks different.

@StephieStephie
Bro, you’re clearly misunderstanding what he did.

@StephieStephie
The panel just sticks over the holes, it’s not replacing anything.

@StephieStephie
The holes don’t go all the way through the bumper, so nothing is really exposed. It’s just a painted piece that sits over the area where the emblem was.

People are reading too much into this… he just covered it with a panel, not rocket science.

Looks great but do you get a lot of bugs stuck to it?

Here’s the link to the exact part I used Link

You can tell the color isn’t quite the same, but it still looks nice!

Couldn’t you just take the emblem off and leave it?

If you do that, there are holes under where it’s mounted.
