Do I have to use an AGM battery for my 2017 Elantra?

Hi everyone, I’m here to ask a question and I hope to get a straight answer.

I brought my 2017 Elantra Limitted to a tire shop because of a bad battery (my first mistake, I guess). They replaced it with an ACDelco 48GHR “flooded” type battery. I didn’t know about AGM batteries back then, and now I’m concerned that I might need one and that using this battery could be bad.

It’s been a month since they installed it. Should I replace it with an AGM battery?

Hey @Jason
For your 2017 Hyundai Elantra, you don’t have to use a special AGM battery, but it’s a good choice if you want a battery that you don’t need to maintain and has some extra benefits.
