My car got flooded and Hyundai said they are leaning towards it being totaled. Progressive is sending an inspector on Tuesday. What do you all think? Will it be totaled?

You really don’t want a flooded car back. It could have a lot of engine problems, plus the smell won’t ever go away. Honestly, you should just tow it to a junkyard.
No company will repair a car that got flooded. It’s going to be totaled.

The engine might be okay if it wasn’t started while under water. But even if they dry it out properly, there will likely be electrical problems later. I had a Sonata that had been flooded. The radio would turn off during bumps and the fuel pump had to be replaced. The trunk was full of muddy dirt too, so it was clear it had been flooded. The car lasted me for a while, though.

I didn’t try starting it, but I could tell there was no power because I couldn’t even unlock it with my keys.
At least someone is hoping for it.

Was it salt water? If so, then it’s definitely totaled.
Yup. Totaled.
Where did the water reach? Was it saltwater? These two things really affect the damage. If just the floorpan and tire well were flooded, the car might still be fine, depending on which electrical parts got wet. It really varies, though.
