Finally joined the club after a year of research Got a 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe Calligraphy Hybrid AWD Phantom Black with Black Ink Interior

Super nice Congratulations

I’m also about to make a decision between Calligraphy and Limited The one thing that gets to me is the single charger up front I know there are plugs but I care about how it looks

The leather vs Napa Leather difference I can manage Nice features on the Napa seat though

Enjoy driving

@HyundaiWhiz
What pushed me toward the Calligraphy was the black ink interior It’s more than just nappa leather seats It replaces all of the chrome trim with matte black I don’t like chrome in vehicles these days Almost everything inside is black even the door handles It gives a really sleek look If you want a black leather interior check it out

@HyundaiWhiz
Single charger

@HyundaiWhiz
There’s almost no visual difference between models with one charger and two Except for a small Qi logo on the rubber pad One charger still has two rubber phone pads

My wife really likes having her own charger

@barak
Don’t you find it overheats the phone I stopped using mine because it overheated my iPhone even with a case And it was worse when using CarPlay

I’ve had the Santa Fe less than a day but no, I haven’t found it overheats the phone It might help that it’s freezing outside I’ve actually cooked my phone before by leaving it in a hot car on summer days until it shuts down so maybe my tolerance is higher I have a Google Pixel 8 Pro If it ever gets hot enough to shut down I’ll let you know

@barak
Now that it’s winter it’s fine In summer it was useless Some folks say they direct the AC vent at the charger to cool their phone

I prefer wired charging it’s way faster

In Australia it was 107 yesterday Wireless charging makes the phone shut off

@HyundaiWhiz
As for how it looks, the wireless charging looks the same whether both work or just one I have the Calligraphy with dual charging, and it’s not great on either side I never use it Even though it’s higher up, I can’t get my phone in the right spot But if you’re just worried about looks, it looks the same on any model

Darth Vader edition

A year Sounds just like me Haha Congrats

I traded in my 2011 Hyundai Sonata Limited 2.0T with 184k miles that I bought new in 2010 I plan to keep this Santa Fe for a long time and it required a detailed analysis of my options

@barak
Oh I didn’t realize there were more changes when going for black at that level Yeah I’d do the same I’m not into shiny things but dull metals don’t bother me

I have to stick with lighter interiors because I have light-colored dogs I think the hair annoys me more

Thanks

Congratulations I have a Phantom Black 25 Calligraphy but FWD Wanted a lighter interior The black on black inside sounds nice too Enjoy

Welcome Hybrid Calligraphy is the best Nice choice

Beautiful
