Got a full-size spare for my 25 Tucson Hybrid Limited… worth it?

Picked up a spare tire that fits perfectly. Super useful in certain situations… no need to call a tow truck.

In Australia, these come with a spare from the factory.

Only a space-saver though.

Heads up… if you have the PHEV model, this won’t work. The battery takes up all the space.

If you have all-wheel drive, make sure all tires are the same size.

What setup did you go with?

Got it from Discount Tire.
Wheel: VISION SW60 18x7.5 5-114.3 40 BKGLXX
Tire: Went with a cheaper one since it’s just a spare… cost me $80 for the tire and $120 for the wheel.
Size: 235/60R18—pretty close to the original tires.

Appreciate it… still on my list of things to do. Is it a 29-inch OD?

Is this for the hybrid version?

Did you actually have a flat that needed a tow?

No, just being prepared. Now I don’t have to wait for a truck if something happens.

What brand did you go with? I need a 19-inch for a Limited.

Really useful for road trips when you’re far from help.

What else did you buy? What about a jack? Does everything fit under the floor?

Picked up an electric jack and impact wrench from Temu for $55. It didn’t fit in the middle, so I put it in the trunk with Velcro to keep it from moving.

Thanks… something to keep in mind if we get this car. The Modern Spare kit looks solid.

@ElantraLOVEr3
Mind sharing the Temu link?

@ElantraLOVEr3
Have you tested it? Seems kinda cheap.

Yeah, tested it. Works fine so far.
