How big of a deal is the ABS braking problem?

I have a 2023 Calligraphy and haven’t experienced this. I do live on a rough road, but now I’m a bit nervous after reading this. I need to turn onto a busy highway daily, so I hope I never encounter it.

I drive a 2024 Calligraphy. It was perfect for the first 3,000 miles, and I absolutely loved it. Then the ABS problem started. It’s scary and doesn’t feel normal. I’ve never had anything like it in all the cars I’ve driven over the years.

I purchased new 2023 Palisade and in August of 2024 I rear-ended a stopped vehicle. I was travelling about 15-20km. When I went to apply the brakes my 2023 Palisade would not stop. I had both feet on the brake pedal, the palisade kept lurching forward. It felt like the abs was releasing the brake. Very unsafe. I took pictures of road which had rougher asphalt on passenger side. Pictures were sent to Hyundai Canada however no response. Note there are a number of people reporting the same issue. Definitely a safety issue its only a matter of time Hyundai acknowledges it. Hope this helps with your decision to purchase a 2023 Palisade.

Note I experienced it again, slowing down to make a left. Again the road was more uneven on the passenger side.
