How do I turn on my heated steering wheel

Hi I have a 2022 Hyundai Elantra and I heard it has a heated steering wheel. I want to try it out but I can’t find how to turn it on. The manual doesn’t help. I should have it since it came with my car package. If anyone knows where to find it or how to turn it on, I would really appreciate your help

The button should be right in front of the gear shift when it’s in park. You should see the buttons for the seat heaters and steering wheel heat there

I downloaded the manual to check. Could it be automatic?

The temperature for the driver’s seat warmer, air ventilation seat, and heated steering wheel is controlled automatically based on the inside and outside temperature when the engine is running. To use this function, you need to turn it on from the Settings menu on the Infotainment system screen. Just go to All menus, then Setup, then Vehicle, then Heated/Ventilated Features

If your steering wheel is leather wrapped, then you should have it. This is true for Canada, but I’m not sure about other areas. The button is on the climate control part of the center console

He might not have it. For example, the Canadian N-Line has it but not the US one, even though both have leather steering wheels

Looking at the Hyundai site for the 2024 models, they don’t mention heated steering wheels. I searched through the online manual for the 2022 limited model, and the only mention of heated steering is an error light but no buttons. So, I think you might not have one. Sorry

I just got a 2022 Santa Fe. I test drove an SEL model that had climate control and a heated steering wheel (with leather wrapped wheel). I also drove another SEL with lower miles that didn’t have those options, which I overlooked. I’m not sure if there’s a specific trim within the SEL that includes these features, but some do and some don’t! Also, the Blue Link app can show you options for climate and heated steering for remote starting, even if your vehicle doesn’t have them. That’s how I found out I don’t have them

It’s a different package. I forget if it’s technology or convenience

Convenience

@lenoxreloya
The SEL premium plus convenience package has it in the US market. You probably got the standard SEL

If you have it, the button should be near your climate controls and seat warmers

I work for Hyundai. I don’t think that’s an option on your model

My 2024 limited hybrid doesn’t have one either. I’m disappointed

Lol in Canada we have it! It’s even on the non-hybrid models

The limited hybrid doesn’t even have the 360 camera in the US

In Canada, it’s the Preferred Trim or Limited. I’m not sure what trims you guys have in the US. It’s colder here, so usually, heated seats and steering wheel options are almost standard. It usually has a button on the dash or by the shifter

Hyundai doesn’t include a heated steering wheel on any of its models. Canadian models have it on some trims, but it’s usually on the center console

I think leatherette is the term. There should be a clear button showing your heated steering wheel near the seat climate controls if you have it
