What year and engine size is your car, and how many miles are you getting from a full tank? Just curious to see how mine compares.
I’ve got a 2011 Sonata 2.4 with 247,000 miles on it. Around town, I get about 25 mpg which gives me around 450 miles. On highway trips, I can go just over 650 miles on a full tank.
Edit: This is the original engine and transmission. Got lucky and didn’t have issues with the typical Theta II problems.

That’s a solid range for the age of your car.
I’ve got a 2023 Blue hybrid. I managed over 630 miles with another 30 in reserve. That was mostly freeway driving, and I’m averaging around 57 mpg. Currently have about 33,000 miles on it.

Wow, I really need to get a hybrid .
Mine’s a 2011 with a 2.4L engine, 120,000 miles. I get around 380 miles per tank.
I’m getting about 485 miles on average with a 2021 2.5L non-turbo engine.
I drive a 2020 SEL Plus with a 1.6T engine, 85,000 miles. I get around 425 miles per tank, and I commute 52 miles daily on the highway.
My 2017 2.4L has 125k miles and gives me about 500 miles per tank.

I have a 2017 too, mine’s at 80k miles, and I get around 500 as well.
I have a 2023 Sonata SEL 2.5L and managed 580 miles on a 280-mile round trip at 50 mpg. My 2022 Elantra with a 2.0L engine gave me 380 miles on a similar round trip at 40 mpg.
I’m driving a 2016 Hybrid Limited with a 2.0 Theta II engine. Got it replaced at 120k miles; it’s now at 155k. I get about 600 miles per tank, averaging 42 mpg in summer and 37 mpg in winter.
My 2024 N Line gets around 425 miles on a full tank.
I have a 2021 SEL Convenience, 2.5L with 48k miles. For city driving, I get about 420-450 miles per tank, with MPG around 27-29. On long trips, I get closer to 38-40 MPG, giving me about 520-560 miles per tank.
My 2006 with a 3.3L engine averages around 385-400 miles per tank.
I have a 2015 Sonata Limited 2.0t with 245hp. The mpg is terrible though - I get about 14 mpg which gives me roughly 200 miles on a tank, even though my dash says I should get closer to 350 miles. I mostly drive in sport mode, which eats fuel fast.
@Martinez
Are you sure there’s nothing wrong with the car? I had the same model, and I used to get around 27 mpg.

Really? Mine’s over 10 years old now, so that could be part of it. I might get it checked out next time I’m at the mechanic because 14 mpg is too much. Feels like V8 prices .
@Martinez
I’ve got a 2020 Sonata Limited now and it’s doing around 35-36 mpg, so about 450 miles per tank.

I love the newer Sonatas, just wish they had an option for something in between the 190hp and 290hp engines. I’d be fine with a 245hp option, but the N Line’s too pricey.
