Hello
I’m looking at a 2022 Hyundai Kona n-line.
This beaut…This is the ultimate package. Currently, the listed price is $29,888 not including tax or doc fee.
It has 47,499 km.
No damages.
The Carfax is clean and it had one owner. The dealer gave me an all-in price of $29,500. What do you think?
You could find a used N for around this price. Just saying.

Yeah, generally around that price.
So here’s a question: what if there was another 2022 Kona n-line that has minor hail damage, with 35,513 km, priced at $22,000? My concern is that its resale value will drop because of the damage. Which one would you choose?
@Cynthia
Not that one.

Okay, because the dealer is trying to sell me on that one right now and I just don’t think I can do that. Plus, the other option seems a bit better.
That’s wild, my brand new 2024 limited AWD was $35,000 a few months ago. $30,000 for this seems really high.

Right!!! At this point, I’d rather get a new car. I thought this price was kind of crazy.

I really hope that’s in CAD and not USD because that sounds nuts.

I figured you were Canadian. I mean, the other commenter I replied to. $35,000 USD is almost $50,000 CAD, which is crazy for a Kona. But for you, $29,500 OTD isn’t too bad; I’d go for it.
@TucsonTalker3
My limited was $35,000 USD OTD as well; it was a bit over $33,000 MSRP loaded, plus freight, taxes, and fees, which brought it up a lot. I think I ended up paying less than MSRP and tax for everything. The freight fee alone was almost $1,500.
Is this price in CAD? Because I got my Kona N with 20,000 miles for $26,000 USD.

Yes, CAD.
You’re in Canada? The Ultimate is the Canadian equivalent of the Limited in the US. They are a lot pricier up there. You should check with Canadian buyers and owners if you’re in Canada.
Take their best price, then go down the street. Take that price and return to the original dealer.

Honestly, I tried. I showed them another 2022 Kona n-line priced at $22,000 with minor hail damage and they quoted me $29,500 with no damage. Other 2022 Kona n-lines are priced above $30,000.
@Cynthia
Oh man. As a Hyundai employee, I say find the best deal, regardless of the dealership. You don’t have to buy today (they might be more flexible at the end of the month).
We had a 2024 Civic on the lot and the sales team wouldn’t move on the price. A coworker went to the other dealership and got a 2025 Civic for $5,000 less than what we were asking for the used one! Finding the better deal is your part of the process; they’re trying to avoid that.
Is that in Canadian dollars? This seems like a $19,000 car with that mileage.

Yes, CAD. Wow, if it were $19,000, I’d buy it immediately .
Who cares?
