How Much Will This Cost to Fix?

Well… After 15 years of accident-free driving, I messed up last night and backed my 2024 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid Limited into a cement light post.

Has anyone had similar damage and know roughly how much it might cost to fix? Is this something I could fix myself? Any advice would be really helpful.

3,000 maybe.

I’m no pro, but I’m handy enough to give you this completely unofficial recommendation from a stranger on the internet:

I don’t see any body damage except for the bumper. Get some strong epoxy glue and glue it back together.

The yellow stuff is just rubbed off paint that should come off with some elbow grease.

Can’t tell if the light assembly is broken. If it is, you’ll need a new one, which costs hundreds, not thousands.

About three fifty.

I think the black thing needs to be replaced. Open the manual, search for its part number and Google the cost of it on Hyundai OEM website.

You can ask ChatGPT as well for part number and its cost. Maybe attach this photo or describe the part in ChatGPT.

I think insurance will cover it, I don’t think that’s a big damage. Hope you had coverage.

You can include the left rear blinker or just its transparent glass cover as well. I don’t know if the glass cover can be bought separately. You can buy that third-party maybe.

I’d get on car-parts.com and get a cover off a junk yard. All but the nline have the same bumper, so they should be out there. Then buff out the scratches and paint transfers over. Might not be perfect but cheaper than 3k.

I sell Honda parts, about 1500$ parts maybe 2k in labor.

Just had my Tucson in for a hit and run, 8k for a front left clip.

Just took my car in for the front left too. Got hit after the other driver blew a stop sign, about $7500 to repair.

About 2k give or take including labor, parts, paint.

Call your local mobile dent repair. They come fix it for a grand in 1 day. Go to a body shop and leave it for 2 weeks and spend 3k.

Oh no. And I was heartbroken over a little dent on my brand new 2025 Tucson plastic trim on the rear bumper. That was quoted at $400 for replacing the trim.
