Hey everyone,
I’ve got a 2009 Hyundai i10, and lately, I’ve been having trouble starting it. Sometimes it cranks but won’t start, while other times it starts up just fine. Yesterday, I spent ages trying to start it, and eventually, it kicked into gear. I took it to a garage, and they mentioned it might be due to an Immobilizer transponder error, specifically P1693. They tried to fix it but couldn’t. Any suggestions on how I can tackle this issue? I’m fairly new to driving, so any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

If you have a spare key, try using it. The problem could be with the specific key you are using.

Here you need reset the immobilizer system, but before you do that consult your vehicle’s owner’s manual or reach out to the manufacturer for specific instructions. This will help to solve the problem.

Great tip! If the first key doesn’t solve the problem, try another key. This can help identify whether the issue lies with the key or the immobilizer system.

Sure thing! "Hey @Zack12, if the second key doesn’t do the trick either, it might be time to seek the expertise of a mechanic to resolve the issue once and for all.
