Hybrid AWD SEL... Couldn't afford the limited or calligraphy... 36k before tax

Congrats on choosing the Hybrid AWD SEL model. Sometimes it’s hard to justify paying extra for higher trims that don’t really change the experience of driving. The SEL already has a lot to offer, and you made a smart choice sticking with it. Enjoy the ride .

Congrats on the new car. It takes financial literacy and control to not overspend/over finance, most people fail at that, so congrats on that too .

The SEL is very well equipped, and it’s very difficult to justify spending an additional 15-20% of your purchase vehicle price on a series of trim “upgrades” that provide virtually no practical impact on how the vehicle operates. You made the sensible choice even if you could afford to pay for the more expensive trim. Enjoy your vehicle .

Just because it isn’t a top-of-the-line model doesn’t mean that it’s not worthy of this forum. It’s gorgeous .

Still awesome! Congratulations on your purchase.

Congratulations, be happy! I paid 37k EUR for a 2022 with 40,000 km used in Germany. New models start at 50k. Be happy, new is new, 5 years of peace of mind.

True bro, I paid 53k EUR for the 2023 model Calligraphy in the Balkans with 0 km new. But the five-year warranty is really a peace of mind. Enjoy yours!

White is just such a clean color. Enjoy .

Haha, until the first bird flies over or spring and pollen turn it yellow. But it’s a great car, enjoy.

I bought the least expensive SE trim. Even though I do not mind extra features of a Calligraphy - heated seats, 360 views are very nice, but in my opinion, they are not worth an extra $12 grand. SE/SEL is very well equipped anyway. In addition, SE and SEL have one major advantage over other more expensive trims: they have the highest tire walls of the bunch. These tires provide the quietest and smoothest ride of the bunch. I did compare the rides when I was test driving the vehicles.

The difference to a limited trim is crazy if you’re not interested in the XRT. Jump from 36k to 44k is wild for a normal car.

Congrats. I agree with the comments, 36k is still a lot. It has a ton of features, and you can enjoy it for many years.

New is new any way you look at it. Better than having to ‘settle’ for used… not hating on buying used, but hating on one limiting their own options. More power to you and welcome to the club!

I have the exact same one and I absolutely love it. Zero regrets.

Very cool.

Congrats! Got mine for similar about a week or so ago! Been driving an '08 RAV4 so the SEL is a major upgrade haha.

I like the cloth interior better than plastic feeling faux leather, I don’t think it’s real but it might be. The auto recline would be nice, but I can do without it. Congrats on your stormtrooper, I’ve got one in grey and love it.

You can mod it nicely on the outside to look better than the Cali trim. That is what I did.
