I’ve seen quite a few posts where people doubt they can get 30+ mpg with their hybrids. I just wanted to share that it’s absolutely possible. It really comes down to your driving habits and how well you focus on maximizing efficiency.
Driving style is important. Can you tell us about your style and habits? I think people think they can drive a hybrid car and get great gas mileage without trying.

First, make sure the car is in the right mode. Then, go into the settings and change things to help the car get better gas mileage. Using cruise control helps a lot. You will see your gas mileage get better. I also try to drive smoothly and not accelerate too fast.

I am happy to help.

Thank you. I asked the dealership and they told me the same thing. I drive carefully and get around 28-29 MPG.

You are welcome. I hope you see better gas mileage soon.
Your average speed is around 40 mph. That is good for hybrids. I find that highway speeds are not as good for gas mileage.

I was actually driving around 55 mph. The 40 mph is just the gas mileage I got on a short drive.
@WayneSonataTalk
I was looking at the wrong number.

It can be confusing. I usually drive on roads with a speed limit of 55 mph.

How accurate is the gas mileage calculator?
@Brielle2
It is usually pretty accurate. I have checked it a few times.
The weather and roads you drive on can affect your gas mileage. I have noticed this with my car.
Your gas mileage is impressive. You should teach us how to drive like that.
Where do you live? I see it is warm where you are. I live in New Jersey and it is cold and snowy.
