Multiple times, the auxiliary battery in my PHEV has drained completely, rendering the remote useless and preventing door access. Despite two visits to the dealer, no faults have been detected. Is anyone else experiencing this issue? I’m increasingly frustrated, especially since I charged it last Wednesday, only to find it flat again by Sunday.
To unlock the door using your fob’s mechanical key, push the small switch at the back and slide out the key. Once unlocked, pop the hood and have roadside assistance boost the battery. Ask a small garage to measure the current drain, a quick 2-minute check. If everything checks out, consider replacing the 12V battery. Additionally, there might be issues with the infotainment system or other modules. Hopefully, Hyundai will provide a fix soon if that’s the case.
