Hyundai Denied Engine Replacement Due to Missing Previous Owner's Service Records

Hyundai refused to replace my engine because I don’t have service records from the previous owner.

My Sonata’s engine failed at 129,000 miles, and I bought it as the third owner with 96,700 miles on it. I provided maintenance records from 2022 when I first had the oil changed after getting the car.

Now, the dealership has the nerve to offer a replacement for $12,000. Not sure what else to do here.

The same situation occurred with my daughter, but we pushed back, and they eventually covered it. You need to stand firm and challenge the corporations.
