Hyundai event in China... Would this ever happen in the US?

A Hyundai event in China has gotten some attention lately, and it’s got me wondering if something like this could ever happen in the US. What do you think?

This would never happen in America except at nearly every football game at the professional and college level, as well as a lot of high schools, Chuck E. Cheese, theme parks, and on PBS.

Exactly, we just move the goal post. Phillie Phanatic enters the room with the questionable mouth.

Yeah it would. And it has.

Yes it would, and it does. There’s an absolute amount of ‘furry’ themed auto shows in the USA.

You underestimate the power of American furries.

Change the name from furry to mascot, and it would happen. Branding is a powerful tool.

Except for the furry conventions.

I’ve seen that furry in the middle everywhere, he’s actually a really good dancer.

They just think it’s something that’s ‘cute’. Just because it’s a thing in America doesn’t mean it’s a thing in China.

lmaooo

There’s a mouse in Orlando that’s kinda famous.

Really, what’s their name :sunglasses::sunglasses:

Unfortunately, I’ve seen Hyundai furry meets on this forum.

I’ve never once seen a Hyundai furry meet. I’ve seen furries AT a Hyundai meet (me being one of them) but I’ve never seen a specific ‘Hyundai Furry’ meet. Doesn’t sound outside the possibility though.

@JakeHyundaiJourney
Pretty sure it was either on one of the N subs, I know for a fact I’ve seen Subaru furry meets. I’ll edit my comment if I can find the post.

@JakeHyundaiJourney
Is this Hyundai/furry a stereotype? If it is, I fit it.

I don’t know honestly, most car furs I met aren’t Hyundai owners. I know a few other than myself but not many. (I’m also the only one I know who doesn’t own an N, but that will change soon). The most common I see is Subaru and (at least locally) Ford/Chevy.

No one here tells furries that they can’t do what they want or whatever, but asking to be immune from criticism or ridicule is crazy.
